About the Event

Representatives from Florida will compete for the state title and the winners will continue on to the 2021 Miss Collegiate USA & Miss High School USA Pageants.

ELIGIBILITY

To compete for the title of Miss Florida Collegiate USA (Details/Info):​

  • you must be no older than 29, single, attended some college (Undergraduate, Graduate student or College graduate), and embody strong morals,
  • born a natural female, and
  • a United States citizen, live, work, attend school or own property within the state or region in which you are representing.

To compete for the title of Miss Florida High School (Details/Info):​

  • you must be an incoming or current High School student in grades: 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th,
  • you must be single, never married, never given birth or be a parent; embody strong morals,
  • be born a natural female and,
  • a United States citizen, live, work, attend school or own property within the state or region in which you are representing.

PHASES OF COMPETITION

INTERVIEW – 35% of the total score

State  delegates will have a 5 minute personal interview with a panel  of  judges.  This is your opportunity to allow the judges to get to  know you  and convince them you are the best candidate for the job.   Questions  will be formulated from the delegate's Fact Sheet, current  events,  community service, educational goals, and career ambition. A  dress or  pantsuit appropriate for a tv host interview is recommended.   No pageant  dresses.

ACADEMICS & PROFESSIONAL RESUME – 15% of the total score

State  delegates will be asked to submit a professional resume with  their  academic and career achievements.  This will be an opportunity  for the  judges to evaluate a delegate's achievements and career goals.

Note. This review may also be shared with scholarship donors to determine recipients of special college awards.

LIFESTYLE & FITNESS IN SWIMWEAR - 25% of the total score

This  competition is designed to determine how well the participant  maintains  a figure that reflects good physical fitness and health.  Delegates may  choose to wear a one-piece or 2-pc swimsuit. No string or  thong bikinis  allowed.

Note.  Inappropriate swimsuits will not be allowed.

POISE IN EVENING GOWN - 25% of the total score

This  competition is designed for the delegate to make an on-stage  statement  of her personality. Select a prom or formal dress that is  appropriate  for your age and personality.  The color and style are your  choice. The  gown must be floor-length. She will be judged on  confidence, elegance  and stage presence, not on the specific price of  the gown.

NEXT STEPS

  1. Apply to your state pageant using this form;
  2. Receive "MCU Happy Mail" by email;
  3. Pay the $495 entry fee;
  4. State Pageant Entry Fees are $495:

Book your weekend lodging accommodations at the host hotel (see link below) to reserve the special group rate. (All state finalists are required to stay at the host hotel).

Please note.  Only a limited number will be selected to compete. The first paid entries accepted become confirmed Official State Finalists if their payment is received by the deadline.

Young ladies registered will move forward and earn the opportunitiy to compete on-stage at their state competition.
